Payment via the app
- Once you reach the destination, tap 'Take payment'
- Enter the fare amount and tap 'Continue'
- Select 'Take app payment'*
- The passenger can exit the vehicle immediately. Freenow will automatically generate and process the payment
- Rate the passenger and add any additional comments if needed
*If you switch from cash to app payment, make sure the passenger confirms the change in their app by sliding the confirmation bar before leaving the vehicle.
Important notes:
- The maximum fare amount that can be entered in the app is £250.
- If the total fare exceeds this limit, collect the remaining amount directly from the passenger using cash or an external card (POS terminal).
Payment outside the app (in cash or via POS terminal)
- Once you reach the destination, tap 'Take payment'
- Enter the fare amount and tap 'Continue'
- Tap 'Switch to cash' (located just below the fare amount).
- Collect the payment from the passenger
- Provide a receipt to the passenger
- Rate the passenger and add any additional comments if needed
What if I entered an incorrect fare?
If you entered an incorrect fare, please contact us as soon as possible via the in-app chat.
To chat with us, go to our 'Help' section in the app and open a new conversation. If you need help with a trip, make sure to select the relevant booking.
Include the following details:
- Trip date and time
- Pick-up address
- Correct fare amount
We will review your request promptly and correct the payment retroactively if applicable.
