If you pick up a passenger that hasn't booked via the app but would like to pay via their Freenow account, you're able to switch this to a 'Hop on' trip:
- Scroll the bar at the bottom of your screen upwards and click the ‘Pay with Freenow’ button
- Set the destination
- Tap on 'Go to App Payment'
- Confirm that the passenger has the Freenow app open and the GPS enabled on their phone, so you can link both profiles*
- Input the metered fare on the app. The passenger will be notified and asked to confirm the payment
- Once the customer has swiped to confirm the payment, the payment will be processed and the job will be completed
Always make sure your passenger has confirmed the payment before leaving the vehicle to avoid any connection issues.
*If you can’t find the passenger you are looking for, tap the ‘Enter’ button and enter their phone number. By entering their number, the job will automatically be sent to the passenger’s phone via the app.
